Romey and Mary Charles Hall went to Lake Louise and Banff, Canada the first week of August. Romey developed a cold
the last day they were there, and Mary
Charles became ill after they got home and has been ailing all this month. Both are
feeling better and had hoped to be in class this morning but did not make it.
Jean Farrar saw her doctor on Monday and was assured that she should be able to see from the eye with the transplanted
cornea as time passes. She
appreciates all the calls, cards and visits from everyone and is able to watch our worship services
on television as well as attend services at Vickery Towers.
Mary Mottweiler has had a cancerous growth removed from her cheek this week. She hasn't been in Sunday School in
quite awhile because she rides with Jean
Barrar. We hope that both ladies will be back with us before long.
Valere Althouse phones every week to check on Doris Griffith. She reported that Doris is about the same, on oxygen full
time, and goes out only rarely.
Recently a friend did take Doris to Highland Park Pharmacy for a pimiento cheese sandwich,
a specialty served there and one of Doris' favorites.
Anita Hullum has had three wires removed from her wrist and will have surgery to remove the other hardware, after which
she'll be out of the cast and
continue at C. C. Young for additional therapy.
Vernie Crabtree gave me an update this morning on Jeannine Richrdson, saying her voice was stronger and she appeared
to be feeling somewhat better.
